Brazil 2002: Seven Games, Seven Wins
The 2002 World Cup belonged to Brazil — and to the three Rs. Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho tore through the tournament in Korea and Japan as Brazil won all seven of their matches on the way to a record fifth world title. With Cafu and Roberto Carlos bombing forward from full-back, it remains the gold standard for attacking World Cup football.
In Go Unbeaten's World Cup mode, this is one of the squads on the wheel. When the spin lands on Brazil 2002, you can pull Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho or one of their teammates into your XI — then take your side through the same gauntlet they faced: three group games, then four knockout rounds where a single defeat ends everything.

The story
Ronaldo arrived at the 2002 World Cup with his career in doubt after years of devastating knee injuries — and left it as the tournament's top scorer. His eight goals won the Golden Boot, the best individual haul at a World Cup since Gerd Müller's ten in 1970, and he scored both goals in the 2-0 final win over Germany in Yokohama.
The run was studded with iconic moments. Rivaldo scored in each of Brazil's first five matches. In the quarter-final against England, Ronaldinho produced one of the most famous goals in World Cup history, floating a long-range free kick over David Seaman and into the net. Captain Cafu lifted the trophy having become the first player ever to appear in three consecutive World Cup finals.
Luiz Felipe Scolari's side won every game — three in the group, then Belgium, England, Turkey and Germany in the knockouts — all inside 90 minutes. It sealed Brazil's fifth World Cup, the 'penta', a record no other nation has matched.
